Private Fireworks in Sharon Raise Complaints

Here are the highlights of the Sharon Police log.

The July 4 fireworks in Sharon apparently weren't limited to the town's festivities. Sharon Police received five complaints about neighbors firing off fireworks, according to the Sharon Police log. At 8:59 p.m. Sunday, July 1, someone on Cottage Street reported fireworks in the area. Three complaints happened Tuesday, July 3, after Sharon's display ended. At 10:04 p.m., an Edge Hill Road resident reported a neighbor was lighting fireworks. At 11:02 p.m., a Pond Street resident reported a neighbor was lighting fireworks. And at 11:48 p.m., someone reported fireworks in the area of Middlesex Road at Norfolk Place. And on Wednesday, July 4, At 9:10 p.m., someone reported fireworks in the area of Depot at Station streets. Here are the other highlights of the Sharon Police log for July 1 to July 7, courtesy of the Sharon Police Department: On Sunday, July 1 at 11:31 a.m., someone on Woodland Street reported a black Volvo with two males in it and trash thrown out the window. At 12:28 p.m., an officer spoke to a Massapoag Avenue resident about a lost camera. At 8:08 p.m. police notified the fire department about a branch on wires and in the road at South Walpole Street at Blair Circle. At 10:07 p.m., someone reported an injured animal in the road at Wilshire Drive at Bay Road. At 11:32 p.m., someone on East Street reported a broken car window. On Monday, July 2 at 8:47 a.m., police notified NStar of a limb on a pole on South Walpole Street. At 12:38 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident on Lakeview Street. No report was filed. At 1:08 p.m., someone on East Chestnut Street reported a neighbor's dogs in their yard. At 2:35 p.m., police report arresting an adult after a reported disturbance at East Street at Massapoag Lane. At 4:51 p.m., someone on East Chestnut Street reported pit bulls running loose. At 7:24 p.m., police notified the animal control officer about a dog found on Orchard Hill Drive. At 7:57 p.m., someone on Richards Avenue reported a past larceny by a cleaning woman. At 8:20 p.m., someone turned in a found cell phone to the police station. On Tuesday, July 3 at 4:11 p.m., police report arresting someone and charging them with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at School at North Main streets. At 7:52 p.m., someone at Bay Road at East Street reported a past road rage incident. On Wednesday, July 4 at 2:04 p.m., a Mallard Drive resident reported a turtle in the road. On Thursday, July 5 at 8:54 a.m., someone on Wilshire Drive reported screens torn at the school. At 9:37 a.m., police returned a found wallet to its owner. At 11:51 a.m., someone on Ames Street reported vandalism at the temple. At 1:47 p.m., someone reported vandalism to equipment. At 5:45 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle struck a cat at South Main Street at Washington Place. At 6:04 p.m., someone reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries in Post Office Square. On Friday, July 6 at 11:44 a.m., someone reported a minor motor vehicle accident on South Main Street. No report was filed. At 4:16 p.m., someone on Massapoage Avenue reported something was thrown at a motor vehicle. On Saturday, July 7 at 2:14 a.m., police reported arresting someone at Atlas Road at Belcher Street and charging them with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. At 8:50 a.m., someone on Lincoln Road reported a past break-in. At 3:02 p.m., someone on Edge Hill Road reported receiving annoying calls. At 9:16 p.m., someone on Bayberry Drive made a noise complaint.
