Providence Man Killed in I-95 Crash Near Exit 9

SHARON, MA — A Providence, R.I resident is dead following an early morning crash on Interstate 95 North.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., state police responded to reports of a one-vehicle crash on the highway, just north of Exit 9 in Sharon. At the scene, troopers found a 2011 Hyundai that left the roadway off the right shoulder and landed in the wooded area off the highway, according to the Massachusetts State Police

The driver of the Hyundai, Derice N. Fealy, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The right travel lane was closed during the incident and during the reconstruction. All lanes were reopened when police cleared the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m, police said.

The cause of the crash is under police investigation.
