Name of Quincy Man Killed Near Foxborough-Sharon Line Released

Another person was taken to the hospital with injuries.

SHARON, MA — A Quincy man has died following an early morning crash on Interstate 95 North in Sharon.

At about 12:30 a.m., police responded to a crash at exit 8, near the Foxborough-Sharon line. A preliminary investigation by state police indicates that a 2001 Lexus IS300 was traveling in the right travel lane of the northbound side of the highway when the operator attempted to maneuver the vehicle into the adjacent lane. The operator then lost control of the vehicle, causing it to rollover and crash in the median, police said.

During the rollover, 27-year-old Sean Kearney, and his passenger, a 37-year-old man, both of Quincy, were ejected from the vehicle. A 64-year-old woman from Waltham operating a Nissan Sentra swerved to avoid debris from the Lexus and struck the right side guardrail.
