Sharon boys' soccer team all tied with Mansfield Hornets
Eagles play to stalemate for third time this season.
This fall, the Sharon High boys' soccer team has become well versed in close matches.
And Monday afternoon was no different as the Eagles surrendered a late goal to Mansfield and settled for a 1-1 tie in a Hockomock League contest at Sharon High.
Following a scoreless first half, senior Brad Malenich gave the Eagles a 1-0 advantage with a goal in the 24th minute of the second half.

Unfortunately, the Hornets tied the game with three minutes remaining when Pat Khoury scored in the 37th minute to knot the match at 1-1.
"Considering we were one man down in the game, the kids played great," said Sharon head coach Barry Kaye, whose team is 2-0-1 in its last three matches. "Even though we gave up a goal late in the game, we will take the tie. It was a good tie. The kids never quit in this game. They played hard, talked and were aggressive."

Following the deadlock, Sharon's record is now 2-3-3 overall and 2-1-2 in the league. The Eagles have played three 1-0 matches this fall, dropping two of them.
