
It was close but in the end, it was the Eagles who walked away with the hardware at the Hockomock Golf Championship yesterday morning.
Beating Canton by two strokes, the Sharon Eagles were crowned the best golf team in the league, taking first place with a score of 243 at the tournament held at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.
Colton Bader led the team, scoring an 80 and finishing in a three-way tie for second place. Angela Zhang was not far behind in fifth place with an 81. Max Crooks placed eight, shooting am 82.
Canton did put up a fight with Mike Breviglia's 78 good enough for first place and Sam Hrubec finishing in the three-way way tie for second with an 80.
