Sharon Education Foundation Grant Applications Open Through June 3rd

Non profit Education Foundation now accepting grant applications to support enrichment activities in schools and the community

The Sharon Education Foundation (SEF) is now accepting applications for its 2016-2017 academic year grant cycle.

Since SEF’s inception in 2002, more than $150,000 in grant funding has been awarded to support a wide variety of enrichment programs in Sharon schools.

Last year, $32,000 was awarded to support programs including an expansion of the 3D Design and Printing Program, Bike Safety Rodeos, Introduction to Naviance, Music Mentors Professional Partnership, and a Lego Robotics Program.

“Grants are available to any school, educator, administrator, parent or community member who has a program or project that will benefit Sharon Public School students and our community,” noted David Shore, SEF Co-President. “We encourage and invite all eligible applicants to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance the educational experience of our students.”

SEF will fund a wide range of projects, including but not limited to: those that focus on traditional academic subjects, programs that support the emotional and physical health and well-being of students, STEM initiatives, visual and performing arts, promotion of multi-cultural and community learning experiences and professional development.

The Sharon Education Foundation enhances, enriches and supports public education in Sharon by funding educational, recreational and community programs that deliver innovation and excitement into the classroom and beyond.
