Sharon Education Foundation's Grant Cycle Now Open

Grants available to teachers, administrators and residents to support educational programs for Sharon's schools and the community


The Sharon Education Foundation (SEF) is now accepting applications for its 2015-2016 academic year grant cycle.


Since SEF’s inception in 2002, more than $125,000 in grant funding has been awarded to support a wide variety of enrichment programs in Sharon schools. Last year, $22,000 was awarded to support programs including the purchase of a 3-D printer, a Family STEM night, an Asian Arts Dance Program, Duct Tape Engineering, Classrooms without Chairs, a Multi-Cultural Enrichment Program and more.


“We encourage and invite all eligible applicants to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance the educational experience of our students,” said David Shore, SEF Co-President.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Sharon public school faculty and administrators, parents, students, and community members may apply for funding in support of enrichment projects and professional development that benefit Sharon Public School students.

WHAT WILL BE FUNDED?
SEF will fund a broad range of projects, including but not limited to: those that focus on traditional academic subjects, STEM initiatives, visual and performing arts, promotion of multi-cultural and community learning experiences and professional development.
