Sharon Gymnasts Finish Strong!

The 2015-2016 Sharon High School gymnastics team finished with great accomplishments. On February 18th, at the MIAA State Individual Gymnastics Championships qualifying for the all around competition were Natalie Maidment (pictured above right) who placed 13th on both Bars (9.125) and Beam (9.0), and Rachel Greene (pictured above left). Qualifying in the Individual event competition was Daren LePage (pictured above center) who placed 3rd on Vault (9.325) and 1st on Floor (9.4) earning the championship title. The evening ended with both Natalie Maidment and Rachel Greene being named to the Senior National Team, an honor awarded to the top gymnasts in the state to compete at the High School National Gymnastics Championship on May 19th & 20th in Fort Myers, Florida. On February 20th, at the MIAA South Sectional Tournament the team with their Senior leaders Natalie, Rachel, Pami Greenstein, and Jessica Stead earned a 139.1 total, finishing 6th place out of 12 teams. The competition ended with recognition going out to all of the Senior Athletes thanking them and celebrating their dedication and commitment to high school gymnastics. Congratulations Eagles!
