Sharon To Hold Public Meeting On Lake Fees

SHARON, MA — A public meeting to discuss proposed increases in Sharon lake fees for 2020 will be held on Jan. 28. Several of the fees are slated to go up this this summer — including season walk-in passes, season car passes and season student parking passes for residents and non-residents.

The meeting will be held at the Sharon Town Hall Hearing Room on South Main Street at 7 p.m.

The biggest proposed increases for 2020 involve parking with the resident parking pass proposed to go from $80 to 88, and non-resident parking pass to go up from $160 to $176. Student parking passes are proposed to go from $125 to $150 for a full season, and $75 to $85 for a half season.

Walk-in passes are also proposed to increase with seasonal walk-in passes going from $20 to $22 for residents and daily walk-in passes going from $4 to $5. Non-resident walk-in passes are proposed to rise from $40 to $44 for the season, and $8 to $10 per day.
