Sharon Homeowner Faces Charges for Fourth of July House Party

The resident will be summoned to Stoughton District Court.

Sharon, MA — A resident on South Main Street faces charges for a party that spilled over into other neighborhoods, police said.

The resident will be summonsed to Stoughton District Court for being the keeper of a disorderly house and maintaining or permitting a nuisance, according to the Sharon Police Department. Several others will be summonsed for disturbing the peace and furnishing alcohol to minors.

The names of those charged have not been released.

In the early hours of July 4, police responded to a very large house party on South Main Street. Police say the party led to a number of disturbances on Garden and Clarke Streets while it was breaking up.

The party was mostly attended by out of town residents, police said.
