Sharon Man Wins $1 Million Prize in Mega Millions

Sharon, MA — A Sharon man is one of seven $1 million winners in the Mega Millions lottery game.

Marcus Gonzalez was able to match the first five numbers in Friday's game, giving him the $1 million prize, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery. He told Lottery officials that he plans on putting the winnings in a savings account that will likely be used to pay for his children's college education.

Cumberland Farms on South Main Street will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

The 536.3 million jackpot went to a person in Indiana.
