Reason for Running:
I am proud to be given the opportunity for the second year in a row to run The Boston Marathon for Team TAN - Technology for Autism Now. They develop a suite of apps that allow children and individuals with Autism to interface with their teachers and care givers. Check out my donation page here.

Marathon Experience:
Last year's Boston Marathon was a scorcher. The thermometer read 91 degrees in Framingham! I had the opportunity to speak with many fellow marathon veterans some with over 100 marathons under their belt and their advise was clear, "re-calculate your expectations and chalk this years Boston up as an ultra." When you dig into your wallets this year to donate on my behalf, please make it an Ultra year for TAN.
I've been running "barefoot/minimalist" for the past four years. I've been doing 100 percent of my running in Luna Sandals. Luna Sandals is the brainchild of "Barefoot " Ted McDonald of "Born to Run" fame. I have been been given the joy of field testing several different models of Luna Sandals over the years. I will be running Boston in the much anticipated NEW trail running MONOs which have MGT (Monkey Grip Technology) foot beds and ATS (All Terrain Strapping) laces.
