Sharon Mom, Children Terrorized By Armed Man Breaking In: Police
Police said they received several 911 calls, some of them from the children. Fortunately, an officer was close and arrived within seconds.

SHARON, MA — It was supposed to be a typical school night Thursday for a mother and her three children, but that changed around 11:25 p.m., when a man armed with a knife broke into her home and attacked her, police said.
Police said they received several 911 calls, some of them from the children. Fortunately, an officer in the area was able to get to the Billings Street home within seconds. The officer found the suspect in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
"The officer subdued the suspect at gunpoint and the suspect was eventually arrested and placed into custody," Sharon Police said in a statement.

Police identified the suspect as Ricardo Francis, 39, of Hyde Park. The mother police said Francis assaulted sustained non- life threatening injuries and her children were not hurt.
Police don't think the suspect knew the victims.

"At this time there does not appear to be any nexus between the suspect and the victims other than the fact that the suspect’s car ran off the roadway, in the snow and struck a vehicle located at the end of the driveway," police said.
Francis is charged with armed home invasion and other felony charges. He will be arraigned in Stoughton District Court Friday morning.
Police later said the Billings Street house is the home of a rabbi at Temple Israel. He was not home during the home invasion. Sharon Police are looking into if that had something to do with the incident, but do not believe it did.
