Sharon’s Hidden Jewel – A never-before- seen option for early childhood education in Norfolk County
It just might be the most beautiful property in Sharon, and that is not hyperbole . The Bilingual Montessori School of Sharon (BMSS) is a unique, French bilingual school dedicated to guiding and nurturing children’s full development by providing a learning atmosphere that promotes peace, harmony and respect based upon Montessori principles of education.
Open since the fall of 2015 and led by Head of School Theodora Koziol, previously of the Bilingual Montessori School of Boston, BMSS provides a unique learning opportunity for toddlers to elementary-aged students, which helps every child reach his/her own individual potential. The Sharon school is a one-of-a-kind property, reminiscent of a small French chateau, built with a nearly $2 million dollar private investment.

In addition to traditional lessons in math, art, and health, students at BMSS are introduced to a practical life curriculum, which includes such real world lessons as helping to maintain a small garden, creating flower arrangements, setting the lunch table with real utensils and dishes, and pouring water into real glassware. They are also introduced to the French language during the pivotal developmental stage and are given access to musical instruments like violin, guitar and piano at a young age.
Above all, the children’s success comes from an unwavering commitment to every child. The proven techniques of Ms. Koziol and BMSS have led to placements at the top elementary schools in Massachusetts including but not limited to: The Dexter and Southfield Schools, The Park School, The Chestnut Hill School and many more. All staff members are early education certified.
