Sharon 'Piggybacker' Arrested On Outstanding Warrant: MBTA Police

SHARON, MA – A fare evasion at the MBTA's Andrew Square stop turned into an arrest on an outstanding warrant on a receiving stolen property charge for a Sharon man on Tuesday. Transit Police said Daniel Namiatov, 25, was wanted on a warrant for receiving stolen property over $1,200 out of Somerville District Court.

Police said that about 1 p.m. on Tuesday patrol officers spotted Namiatov "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer before the fare gate closed at the Red Line station. Police said they approached Namiatov for a citation and discovered that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

He was placed in custody and taken to Transit Police Department headquarters for booking.
