Sharon Police Ask For Vigilance Amid String Of Break-Ins

SHARON, MA — Sharon police are warning residents of a possible breaking-and-entering ring targeting business owners of Asian descent after responding to an active call for a break-in on Victoria Circle Saturday night about 7. Police said that over the past several months Sharon, and neighboring communities, have experienced an uptick in these types of break-ins.

Sharon police said there are indications that many of these break-ins are being committed by a well-organized crime ring that that may be targeting Asian businesses. The break-ins have occurred throughout the day, but have been more prevalent during early evening hours.

Sharon police said that most of the time residents are not home at the time of the break-ins.

Residents are asked to be particularly vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood, or suspicious vehicles, to the Sharon Police Department.
