All summer, Sharon police is giving out "Keeping Cool" citations, which gives your kids a free ice cream at Crescent Ridge Dairy.

SHARON, MA — Riding bikes with friends and ice cream — these are two signs it's summer vacation for the kids of Sharon. Make sure to let your children know they can get those frozen treats just by wearing their helmets, using crosswalks and doing other things they're supposed to be doing already, because all summer the Sharon Police Department is giving out "Keeping Cool" citations.

Unlike regular police citations, these are a good thing. If a police officer sees your child following these safety rules, they'll get the citation, which is actually just a gift certificate for a free ice cream at the Crescent Ridge Dairy Farm at 355 Bay Road.
