Sharon Track to Compete in Division 2 East Meet Monday

The King Philip High boys' and girls' track teams will be competing in the East Divison 2 meet Monday at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham after the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association decided to move the event from Saturday to Monday. 

The weigh-in for throwing implements will be at 11 a.m., followed by the field events at noon and the running events at 12:30 p.m.

In the girls' meet, Rita Kushner is the sixth-seed in the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches, while Samantha Kaplan is sixth in the triple jump at 34 feet, 6.5 inches. Check out where everyone is seeded in the meet at the MIAA girls' meet web site.

On the boys' side, Max Simon is the second-seed javelin thrower with a toss of 170 feet, four inches, while Brian Mukasa is third in the high jump at 6 feet, 2 inches. To see how the other athletes are seeded, go to the MIAA website.
