Sharon Woman Wins $1M In Mass. Lottery

SHARON, MA – One Sharon woman is a whole lot richer after hitting a jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery. Carol Romanelli is the third $1 million prize winner in the lottery's "$1,000,000 Bonus Cash" instant game that launched in February.

Romanelli, pictured with her friend, Rich, opted to take a one-time payment of $650,000 (after taxes and incentives). She told lottery officials she plans to invest part of her winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stoughton Town Spa, 1119 Washington Street in Stoughton, which will receive a $10,000 bonus.

Three $1 million prizes remain in the $5 “$1,000,000 Bonus Cash” instant game.
