Students have a "C.O.W." for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day 2014, Sharon Middle School student Sofie Smith (second from right) organized her Third Annual “Clean Old Wolomolopoag (C.O.W.)” clean-up campaign. She created and distributed fliers to recruit neighbors on Old Wolomolopoag and Black Elk Streets to pick up trash and discarded recyclables along both streets. Helping with the Sunday, April 27 clean-up were Heights Elementary School students, from left, Matthew Shore, Sophie Zmoira, Sofie, Drew Shore and Emma Smith (not pictured).
