STURDY MEMORIAL NAMESTONDA SISON ITS DECEMBER A.C.E.S.

ATTLEBORO, MA, December 20, 2013 – Tonda Sison, RN, Clinical Coordinator of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, has been selected A.C.E.S. (A Caring Employee of Sturdy) for the month of December.

In nominating comments, one coworker said, “Tonda is the backbone of her department. She’s the key to its smooth function and daily organization, and constantly stays on top of everything.” Tonda is known for always being “cheerful, pleasant, and willing to help her coworkers when they need a hand.” In one instance, she came into work for only a meeting, and “immediately jumped in, unasked, to help a critically ill patient.” Tonda is also “caring and reassuring, helping patients and family members to calm their fears and anxiety by carefully explaining everything in a simple and easily understandable way.” She is “a real gift,” an “extraordinary teacher, mentor, and role model,” and a valuable asset to the Sturdy team.

Tonda is a resident of Attleboro and has been a Sturdy employee since 1986. She is also a nurse in Sturdy’s Pain Clinic and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
