SUPER TUESDAY: Trump, Clinton Take Sharon

SHARON, MA - Voters in Sharon hit the polls Tuesday during the Super Tuesday presidential primary, deciding who they want to be the Democratic and Republican candidates for president.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders 2,397-2,043, according to the town. On the Republican side, Sharon went with the state, giving Donald Trump 40.12 percent of the vote.

Turnout was about 51 percent.

Below are local unofficial results for the primaries.

Democratic

• Clinton: 2,396, 53.67%
• Sanders 2,043, 45.75%

Republican

• Trump: 741, 40.12%
• Rubio: 483, 26.15%
• Kasich: 394, 21.33%
• Carson: 28, 1.52%
• Cruz: 164, 8.88%
