SHARON, MA — A swastika and a racial slur were found drawn on a white board inside the Sharon High School auditorium Wednesday, police announced. The individuals who discovered the hateful graffiti immediately reported it to school officials and the school resource officer. The incident was also reported to the Anti-Defamation League.

"This was discovered in a very public area where many have access," Sharon police said in a statement. "There are no suspects at this time."

Sharon police asked parents to "encourage dialog with your high school student, and let us all continue to work diligently to educate those we love." Superintendent Victoria Greer in a letter sent to the community asked residents to support the school's "commitment to diversity and compassion for one another."
