World Music Concert With Sharon Concert Band

Sharon Concert Band performs a World Music Concert at Victory Assembly of God in Sharon on Sunday, March 20 at 2:00 pm.

The Sharon Concert Band will perform a World Music Concert featuring a wide range of musical styles from around the globe on Sunday, March 20 at 2:00 pm at Victory Assembly of God in Sharon.

Under the direction of Stephen Bell, the band will perform sophisticated wind ensemble arrangements including “Overture” from The Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini and the rousing “Arabesque” by Samuel R. Hazo. The band will perform moving ballads “O Mio Babbino Caro” from the Italian opera Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini and the traditional Irish lullaby “Deir'in De”. The concert program will also include the lively composition “The Fair-Day” from An Irish Symphony by Hamilton Harty and the upbeat “Joropo (Venezuelan Dance)” by Moisés Moleiro.

The World Music Concert will take place on Sunday, March 20, at 2:00 pm at the Victory Assembly of God, 67 High Plain Street in Sharon, MA. Advance tickets are available through the band's website and cost $12 for adults and $6 for seniors and students; $15 for adults and $9 for seniors and students at the door.
