• Western Mass. residents sound off on pitch to send millions more gallons of Quabbin water east (wamc.org) — Sherborn is among several towns currently before state regulators seeking access to Massachusetts Water Resources Authority supplies, as officials weigh a controversial plan to draw 20 million more gallons daily from the Quabbin and Wachusett system. Western Mass. communities argue the proposal is unfair while they face water bans, and the Water Resources Commission is taking public comment before issuing a draft decision later this fall.
