Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Join us on July 4th from 12-4 pm at Dean Park, Main Street Shrewsbury for our 43rd Annual 4th of July Celebration. There will be a cookout with the Members of Boy Scout Troops 227 and 114 at the grille serving up hamburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burger meals. DJ Jimmie Johnson and Crystal Entertainment will be at the bandstand playing the tunes and organizing fun games and trivia contests. Inflatable amusements will be set up and can be enjoyed with a wristband or ticket. Don't forget the decorated bike and doll carriage parade will take place at 12:30 pm in the upper softball parking lot. Show us your best red, white and blue decorations. We look forward to seeing you there.
