Shrewsbury To Add Three-Way Stop At Harrington Avenue, Old Mill Road

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury officials are moving ahead with new stop signs at a local intersection after a Select Board vote this week.

The Select Board voted Tuesday to amend the town's Traffic Rules and Orders to add two stop signs at Harrington Avenue and Old Mill Road, creating a three-way stop at the intersection. The change is aimed at reducing crashes and improving traffic safety at the location.

The state will fund LED stop signs and "Stop Ahead" signs for the intersection, according to the town.

The project is expected to be completed within about 90 days of the board's approval.
