Shrewsbury Adds Homepage Tool To Help Residents Find Town Services
Shrewsbury has added a new homepage feature to make the town website easier for residents to navigate.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury has added a new homepage feature to make the town website easier for residents to navigate.
The town’s new “How Can We Help You Today?” widget is now available at shrewsburyma.gov, giving residents a more direct way to find permits, licenses, trash and recycling information, recreation programs, election information and other town services, according to Communications Coordinator Tanner Walling.
The tool allows users to start with the action they want to take, such as applying for a permit or license, finding a collection calendar or signing up for a recreation program. From there, users can scan an A-to-Z list and click through to the service they need.

The town has also added a quick search bar to the widget. For example, residents searching for “how to vote” should see an “Election & Voter Information” button, according to the town announcement.
Walling said the town is seeking feedback from residents about which pages or services are difficult to find and what words they naturally search for when looking for them.

Residents can leave feedback in response to the town’s announcement or email socialmedia@shrewsburyma.gov. The feedback will be used to continue improving the widget and the town website’s search function, Walling said.
