Shrewsbury MA Primary 2026: What Voters Need To Know

SHREWSBURY, MA — Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to choose their parties' nominees in two contested statewide races.

The Sept. 1 primary includes a Democratic U.S. Senate contest between incumbent Sen. Edward J. Markey and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, along with a Republican governor's race between Michael Roger Minogue and Brian Shortsleeve, according to the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

Shrewsbury's state legislative races are not contested in either primary. Democratic state Sen. Robyn Kennedy is seeking another term in the First Worcester District, while Republican state Rep. Hannah Kane is seeking reelection in the 11th Worcester District. Neither faces a primary opponent.

Polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

• Precinct 2: Senior Center - 98 Maple Ave.
• Precinct 3: Calvin Coolidge School - 1 Florence St.
• Precinct 4: Scandinavian Athletic Club - 438 Lake St.
• Precinct 5: Sewer/Water Department Garage - 209 South St.
• Precinct 6: Senior Center - 98 Maple Ave.
• Precinct 7: Spring St. School - 123 Spring St.
• Precinct 8: Spring St. School - 123 Spring St.
• Precinct 9: Fire Station # 3 - 20 Centech Blvd.
• Precinct 10: Sewer/Water Department Garage - 209 South St.

Registered Democrats and Republicans must vote in their party's primary. Unenrolled voters may choose either ballot without changing their registration.
