West Nile Virus Detected In Shrewsbury Mosquito Sample

The positive sample has prompted targeted spraying in part of the town.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A mosquito sample collected in Shrewsbury has tested positive for West Nile virus, prompting targeted spraying in part of town.

Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will conduct a truck-mounted spray application on Thursday. The rain date is Friday.

Amberly Lane, Birch Lane, Blackthorn Road, Bracken Road, Camelot Drive, Carriage Hill Road, Carter Road, Country Way, Cranbrook Road, Cross Street, Dartmoor Drive, Galahad Road, Guinevere Circle, Heatherwood Drive, Hickory Bend Road, High Street, Highridge Road, Hunter Circle, Jamie Lane, Joseph Road, Karen Avenue, Keyes House Road, King Arthur Road, Knights Road, Lancelot Road, Medieval Road, Merlin Circle, Morningside Drive, Niblick Road, North Street, Northland Road, Olde Colony Drive, Partridge Hill Road, Pratt Lane, Prospect Street, Round Table Road, Saxon Lane, Settlers Road, Sword Street, Travis Road and Woodside Drive.
