The Host Committee Cordially invites you to the Fourth Annual Celebration in the Garden Party
The Shrewsbury Celebration in the Garden Party Committee is pleased to announce its FOURTH Garden Party to benefit Shrewsbury Public Schools. The event takes place, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 6:30 PM at the home of Heather and Jason Logrippo, the Fallon House, located at 4 Prospect Street, across from the First Congregational Church. We are happy to announce that Peter Blute will reprise his role as Emcee!!
The Garden Party Committee is thrilled to have the heads of Shrewsbury’s major municipal departments come together for auction to benefit our Public Schools. This year’s special guests are: Shrewsbury Town Manager, Dan Morgado; SELCO General Manager, Michael Hale and Superintendent of Shrewsbury’s Schools, Dr. Joe Sawyer. Where else does this happen? We believe we are unique in this regard where heads of major town departments unite for a common cause.
The fun will be to see who wins and what their “job” will be…….2012 will be the first year that the Shrewsbury Garden party has a Presenting Sponsor, and is honored to be partnering with the 15-40 Connection, Proudly Presented by: Columbia Tech, a Coghlin Company. According to Chris Coghlin “On behalf of Columbia Tech, The 15-40 Connection and the extended Coghlin/Conant Family, we are grateful for the opportunity give back to the Shrewsbury Community via our commitment to the Shrewsbury Public Schools Foundation and the 2012 Garden Party. ………As an owner of a high tech manufacturing company (Columbia Tech) and an engineering design company (DCI Engineering), we are acutely aware of the critical importance of a solid STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education beginning in elementary school and carrying through Secondary schooling. Strong math and science programs with access to “state of the art” technology will enable our community’s bright young minds to thrive; as inherently they crave knowledge and are attracted to innovation. A solid STEM education provided by our Shrewsbury School System will serve as the catalyst for the bright minds in our school systems to soar as they seek further education and careers for which they will be passionate about longer term. Their assured career success as a result of a strong education will enable our community to thrive once again as they give back to the community that they will forever call Shrewsbury home………. Innovation and Intellectual property is, and will remain, the cornerstone of our economic viability for generations to come. We must educate, motivate and inspire students to ensure they have the opportunity to succeed long-term by investing heavily in their educational experience NOW! The passion of the entire Garden Party Committee is contagious and it gives us great pride to be a part of this “SPECIAL” event and to modestly give back to the community that has given us so much in the form of community, athletics, spirituality, social activity and most importantly a great education and an opportunity to succeed! Let us make it a Record Year!
