Calling All Local Authors!
If you are a writer, here's a chance to show off your stuff!

The Shrewsbury Public Library is excited to announce plans to host at local author showcase at the upcoming Summer Reading Kickoff Carnival on Thursday, June 27th. The event - which draws over 600 residents annually - is looking to add this special attraction to enhance the overall program lineup and provide local writers with a chance to show off their literary skills to a large crowd.
Here are the requirements:
- Must be a published or self-published author with at least ten copies of your book to sell at the event. Must also be willing to donate at least one copy of one of your titles to a special book basket we'll be raffling off that day.
- Must be willing to sign/autograph books at the event.
- Must be able to stay from 3PM-6PM on Thursday, June 27th. Carnival-goers will be required to visit at least one author in this time frame for a chance to win the book basket mentioned above.
- Due to spacing limitations, authors must RSVP in advance by e-mailing dbarbour@cwmars.org - only authors that go through this process and are confirmed (via response e-mail) will be allowed to participate.
- You may write for adults, teens, or children. Both fiction and non-fiction are welcomed!
- Deadline to reserve a slot is Friday, June 14th, or when slots are full.
