Huge Turnout for Family Trivia Competition

The sound of buzzers, trivia answers, and laughter filled the air at the Shrewsbury Public Library!

This past Tuesday, June 10th, the Shrewsbury Public Library large meeting room was bustling with activity and the sound of buzzers as the fourth Adults Vs. Youth trivia showdown was held.  Over fifty residents entered the free competition (a record number), and many more watched from the audience. Broken up into different rounds full of questions from every category imaginable, the players were eliminated one by one until only a sole trivia master was left standing.

The competition was intense as Shrewsbury resident and parent Nancy M. tried valiantly to earn the adult group the top prize in the last round. She ultimately could not solve the final puzzle as quickly as Shrewsbury teenager, Nathan K. He breezed through the 'Twice as Right' challenge (pictured) and won a giftcard donated by Dunkin' Donuts in Shrewsbury, as well as an overall victory for the young adults.

Now that four of these events have concluded, adults and teens have both earned the title twice. The event was open to those in grades 5-12, and adults. Papa Gino's in White City sponsored the dinner for the event, giving free pizza to all that attended. The next trivia event will be held in the late fall.
