Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Don't you scream for ice cream? I love it; coffee oreo, chocolate chip cookie dough, maple walnut...it doesn't matter.  And working at a place that has it makes every day extremely tempting. Ice cream makes a warm summer day that much more perfect and in general, just makes everything better. It brings people together and put smiles on their faces. I can remember my grandmother taking me on the last day of school every year. The anticipation leading up to this day was like no other and now I get to see that excitement on the faces of kids (an adults) as they come up to the window, look at all the offerings, choose a flavor to enjoy and wait for it to arrive. What are your favorite ice creams? What are your favorite ice cream trip memories?
