Read to a Tree Program

You'll enjoy reading to the tree, then each week we'll have a featured guest in the "green field", pun intended, read a story to the children.

Mark your calendars for this summer’s new program called “Read to a Tree” sponsored jointly by the and the ….bringing the joy of reading to a local tree in the park.

Children of all ages are welcome to come to and look for the decorated tree near the south pavilion. You’ll enjoy reading to the tree, then each week we’ll have a featured guest in the “green field”, pun intended, read a story to the children. Bring your own book, if you forgot one, the library will provide some extra books to read at the park.

After the children can color or make a simple green project at the tables in the pavilion. Crafts will be limited to the first 25 children, but we’ll have plenty of coloring pages for all. No registration is required; all children must be accompanied by an adult.

This should be a great time for children to practice their summer reading skills and enjoy the outdoors.
