Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The Giving Tree for Shrewsbury Seniors is back! Please consider donating a $10-$25 gift card to a needy senior in Shrewsbury. Many of them need to get basic needs met such as groceries, personal items, gas and pet care.  Some cards to consider may be: CVS, Stop &amp; Shop, Price Chopper, Walgreens, Walmart, Shaws, etc. The Giving Tree will be located in the Senior Center lobby and the gift cards will be accepted at the front desk between 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday until December 14, 2012. This special holiday program is coordinated by the Shrewsbury Council On Aging's Outreach Coordinator - Walter Rice. We will be delivering the gift cards December 15th &amp; 16th.
