We need gun laws

Can someone explain to me why a person in Shrewsbury needs an AK-47?

In view of the recent shooting, I am prompted to write this.

First, I do believe in the second amendment, the right to bear arms, and second, that that amendment was written in the context of farmers having a gun so as to join a militia that would defend the new America of the time. I'm sure it was not about being able to shoot up a school or church.

We have army's to defend America now, we don't need a bunch of farmers marching to the Concord bridge against the British.

The NRA always talks about the “sport” of shooting, as in target shooting, and hunting. To me, the skill of hitting a target has nothing to do with more than one shot at a time, as well as hunting, it's one shot at a time. If a hunter needs more than one bullet to kill a deer, he is not a true hunter.

So, I admit blasting a target to pieces with an AK-47 is cool (done that), but that's not exactly “sport” nor hunting, it's destruction and a feeling of power plain and simple.
