Budget Bath Remodel- Before & After

Budget Bath Remodel- Before & After

Our client wanted to change the dated appearance and improve the function of this small bath while matching the style of the 100 year old home and keeping within a very tight budget. The bath had a number of major challenges including the size of the space, the location of the existing plumbing, and the budget.

Originally the shower head and handle were on one end of the bathtub and the tub fill was at the other end. To improve both function and appearance, we removed an unsightly soffit and moved the plumbing to create only one wet wall. An awning window with grids to match the rest of the older home replaced the existing window that didn’t meet code requirements.

A ceiling mount shower curtain rod was an innovative and budget-friendly application in place of a much more expensive glass shower door. The curtain adds texture and softness while letting in light when open. Lighting and ventilation were improved by installing a new fan/flood light and a decorative light over the sink. The existing cold tile floor was replaced with wood to match the home’s style and add tactile and visual warmth. We added crisp white toilet, tub and sink and neutral tile and granite to add sophistication and visual interest to the space.
