Sometimes you know who's winning a game just by the opening kick-off. And the Shrewsbury-Algonquin game on Friday night was one of those games.
The Colonials started the game with a reverse to Sean Dixon for an 80-yard touchdown return.
But that was the only time the Colonials were able to find the end zone in the first half.

Shrewsbury's ground attack was unstoppable, lead by Alex Paulina's near-250 rushing yards.
With Shrewsbury leading 28-14 halfway through the fourth quarter, Algonquin cut the lead to 8 after Michael Fucci tacked on 50 yards after a catch at midfield for the score.
A botched extra point kept the score at 28-20.
The Tomahawks needed to stop Shrewsbury's offense for a chance to tie the game, but were unable to do so.
Senior Fullback Dominic Sassone dragged the entire Algonquin defense down the field, eventually leading to a 3-yard touchdown run, locking up the "W" for a very underrated Shrewsbury squad.
"It felt good to score that last touchdown, but it felt even better making all those blocks allowing Paulina and the rest of the offense move the ball down the field," said Sassone after the game. "We've put in a lot of time and hard work so it feels great to get the win."
