“Insights into Surface” - the paintings and drawings of Greg Kitterle - will be displayed through Oct. 25.
According to a written statement from Fitchburg State Univeristy, Kitterle uses traditional materials combined with abstract compositional ideas and his "work incorporates pencil, dry and wet pigment, and Venetian plaster in traditional fresco formulation. He has said his works convey 'narratives like half-remembered stories.'”
This exhibit will be the inaugural event for the 2011-12 CenterStage at Fitchburg State University arts and culture series, the statement said.

The exhibit will be presented in the university’s art gallery in the hallway of the Sanders Administration Building at 300 Highland Ave. The art gallery has been relocated for the year because of ongoing renovations to the Hammond Campus Center, according to the statement.
The art gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
