Apple Tree Arts presents a dazzling evening of dancing and singing specially adapted from the popular TV program, “Glee.” Tickets will be sold at the door.

The 14 member cast perform many popular songs including “True Colors,” “Proud Mary,” “I Had the Time of My Life,” and “Just the Way You Are.”

The show has a mix of lively songs, theatrical music and ballads. Four of the songs chosen for the production are Glee songs which are written for part singing. Most of the tunes have two or three part harmonies.

“Everyone in the show has a featured solo,” noted Lisa Scarlett, theatre arts director. The cast performs solos, duets and in small and large ensembles.

“There was a real comradery with cast members working together to improve each other’s performance,” explained Ms. Scarlett. “We collaborated on choosing the songs and choreography,” she added.

The show is co-directed by Ms. Scarlett and Laurie Baker, early childhood music and theatre arts teacher. They have worked together on many productions including “Beauty and the Beast,” “Cinderella” and “The King and I.”
