Phase 2 bridge demolition (southbound lanes) of the Route 140 bridge over I-290 is expected to begin on Sunday, July 12, 2020. The demolition work will take place at night between 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM Sunday night through Thursday night. The demolition will last for a period of three to four weeks. Route 140 over I-290 will be shut down in both directions and detoured to Main Street in Shrewsbury for the nightly shutdowns. I-290 traffic will be rerouted to the off-ramps, over Route140, and back to the I-290 on-ramps.
