2 Injured After Jeep Collides With School Van Headed to the Y on Route 140
Breaking: A crash closed down the route around 3:15 p.m.

SHREWSBURY, MA—Shrewsbury police are investigating a two-car accident that occurred at 3:16 pm on Wednesday on Route 140 in Shrewsbury.
Investigators determined that a 1999 Jeep Cherokee was headed north on Route 140 when it attempted to pass a stopped vehicle, crossed over into the southbound lane and collided with a 2008 Chevrolet school bus van.
The small YMCA bus was bringing six Paton School students to the YMCA for an after-school program.

The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The school bus van had two adults and the students on board. The only one injured in the van was the driver, who was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Route 140 was closed for several hours while the Shrewsbury Police crash reconstruction unit investigated.
