Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SHREWSBURY, MA—Shrewsbury police are investigating a two-car accident that occurred at 3:16 pm on Wednesday on Route 140 in Shrewsbury.  Investigators determined that a 1999 Jeep Cherokee was headed north on Route 140 when it attempted to pass a stopped vehicle, crossed over into the southbound lane and collided with a 2008 Chevrolet school bus van. The small YMCA bus was bringing six Paton School students to the YMCA for an after-school program. The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The school bus van had two adults and the students on board. The only one injured in the van was the driver, who was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   Route 140 was closed for several hours while the Shrewsbury Police crash reconstruction unit investigated.
