Saint Mary School in Shrewsbury Welcomes New Principal

Jeanmarie MacDonough will serve as the new Principal of Saint Mary School.

SHREWSBURY, MA – Monsignor Michael Rose, Pastor of Saint Mary’s Parish, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanmarie (Jeannie) MacDonough as the new Principal of Saint Mary School in Shrewsbury.

Jeannie holds a BA in Accounting from Catholic University, a Masters in Middle School Education from Salem State University and an Administrator’s License from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. For the last 11 years at Saint Mary School, she has served the roles of Middle School Math teacher, Admissions Director and most recently Assistant Principal of the school.

In Jeannie’s words, “it is a true blessing that I begin my eleventh year here at Saint Mary School as the new principal. The Saint Mary community is one that I treasure and it has really become my second family. I began my educational career as a middle school teacher and my heart will always be in the classroom; however, I have great enthusiasm for my new role as the educational leader of this wonderful school and I am thrilled for this new chapter.”

Jeannie and her husband Brian have three children and live in Grafton.
