Shrewsbury Is Installing Smoke Detectors In Homes For Free
The pilot program is part of an ongoing safety initiative.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury is promoting fire safety and prevention with a smoke detector pilot program. The program would install smoke detectors in qualifying residents' homes for free. Funding for the program comes from a Fire Prevention & Safety Grant.
Smoke detectors and fire alarms can be a useful first defense and prevention tool against fires.
Residents identified to be at-risk may include, but are not limited to, the following demographics:
