SHREWSBURY, MA — Shannon Wall of Shrewsbury has been named a 2026 Commonwealth Heroine by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, an annual honor recognizing women who make extraordinary contributions to their communities through volunteerism, leadership and service.

Wall was nominated by State Rep. Hannah Kane as part of the commission's 23rd Annual Commonwealth Heroines program, which honors women from across Massachusetts whose work often takes place behind the scenes but has a meaningful impact on those around them.

This year's class includes a historic 145 women from across the state, making it the largest group of Commonwealth Heroines recognized by the commission to date.
