Shrewsbury Police Supervisors Complete Leadership Training
Several Shrewsbury police supervisors recently completed advanced leadership training.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Several Shrewsbury police supervisors recently completed advanced leadership training through the FBI-LEEDA Executive Leadership Institute course hosted at the Shrewsbury Police Department.
Sgt. Mark Sklut, Sgt. Brian Sklut and Sgt. Christopher Abbascia completed the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy program after finishing the Executive Leadership Institute course, the final step in the series, the department announced on Friday.
Police officials congratulated the three supervisors on reaching the milestone, calling it a significant professional accomplishment.

Sgt. Jeff Svendsen, one of the department’s newest supervisors, also attended the course and has now completed two of the three required leadership courses in the trilogy program.

SPD said leadership development opportunities help supervisors continue to grow professionally, strengthen the department, and benefit the community.
Shrewsbury police also noted that hosting the training sessions locally allows the department to receive complimentary training seats when courses are fully enrolled, helping provide professional development opportunities to officers at no additional cost to the department.
