Shrewsbury Resident Named Peter Pav Freshman Scholar

Michaella Paddock, a resident of Shrewsbury, and a member of the class of 2015 at Eckerd College, was one of 30 sophomores to be named a Peter Pav Freshman Scholar by Eckerd's Phi Beta Kappa chapter, Zeta of Florida. Paddock is pursuing a degree in Biology and Psychology.

Named after Eckerd Professor Emeritus of Philosophy Peter Pav, a generous and long-time supporter of the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa and the liberal arts, the Peter Pav award is given to students based on outstanding academic performance and exemplary work throughout their first academic year at the college. The 2011-2012 Pav Freshman Scholars were awarded certificates and were formally recognized at a reception last November.
