Shrewsbury Schools Hold Annual Music Drive

On the first Saturday of September, SHS Music and Theatre students go into the Shrewsbury community to sell discounted season tickets for all musical performances at SHS.

Look for music and theater students coming to your home and please consider a purchase or donation. All proceeds go directly into the strong, successful, and diverse programs of the Shrewsbury music and theater departments (K-12).

The annual Concert Series Music Drive is a fundraiser organized by the Shrewsbury Schools Music Association (SSMA).

“We have been raising funds and volunteering support for our schools’ performing arts groups for 60 years,” said the press release. “SSMA Parent Members assist music and theater directors and teachers, their programs, and support activities that go beyond the in-school curriculum. Funds raised provide direct benefit to these students and directors, including band uniforms, trips, college scholarships, performances, theater material, music, student recognitions, transportation offset, purchase and maintenance of instruments and equipment, and so much more.”
