Shrewsbury Senior Center Volunteer Opportunities

The Council on Aging is seeking volunteers to help the Senior Center plan events and activities for our local seniors as well as research grants to procure funds for the Center.

Volunteer Activity & Event Coordinator(s)

Research and contact potential certified instructors and entertainers to provide entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation to all Senior Center participants. To ensure success you must be committed to the mission of the Shrewsbury Council on Aging - To advocate for and to develop programs and services that enhance the well-being and quality of life, and to create a welcoming, secure and inclusive community for seniors.

Shrewsbury Senior Center still remains closed to the public, however it is never too early to start preparing to reopen! We are looking forward to Celebrating 21 Years and need to start planning now!

Volunteer Grant Writer

Research and write grant proposals for the Shrewsbury Council on Aging. The Grant Writer will write coherent, organized and compelling proposals to increase Shrewsbury Council on Aging funding sources. To ensure success you need to write well, and be committed to the mission of the Shrewsbury Council on Aging - To advocate for and to develop programs and services that enhance the well-being and quality of life, and to create a welcoming, secure and inclusive community for seniors. The Grant Writer volunteer will work with Shrewsbury Council on Aging staff of motivated team players.
